The hot and cold infusion methods

If you have time to prepare overnight, you’ll be rewarded with a gently flavoured iced tea. Try the cold infusion method:

  1. Fill a jug with 1 litre of room temperature water.
  2. Place 1 Iced Tea bag into the jug.
  3. Cold-infuse the iced tea in the fridge overnight (or prepare in the morning for serving in the afternoon).
  4. Remove the tea bag from the jug.
  5. Serve in a glass filled with large ice cubes.
  6. Sugar syrup can be served on the side, so that guests can sweeten the iced tea to their personal preference (sugar:water, 1:1)

For something more robust and quick to prepare, try the hot-infused method:

  1. Boil about half a litre of water (500ml)
  2. Add 1 tea bag to a teapot and add the simmering water.
  3. Infuse for about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Remove the tea bag and pour the tea into a 1 litre jug filled with ice or individual glasses with large ice cubes.

That’s it! Sit back, sip, and enjoy.

You can enjoy TWG Tea Iced Tea bags in so many different ways, here are a few to inspire you:

  1. Add fresh fruit such as sliced apples, peaches, and berries for healthy, family-friendly drink.
  2. Use fragrant herbs such as mint, thyme, and rosemary for beautiful garnishes with a subtle flavour.
  3. For something with a little sparkle, pour iced tea into champagne flutes halfway and top with sparkling wine, champagne or lightly flavoured sparkling water.
  4. Add a generous splash of artisanal botanical gin or a premium white rum to show off your cocktail skills.
  5. Freeze a batch of pre-made iced tea in ice cube trays and add it to a lively party punch.
