Online Ordering Process
When you place an order through The Tea Chest website, it will automatically generate an e-mail to us with details of the items you wish to purchase. We will then confirm stock availability and generate a pro-forma invoice including delivery charges that will be e-mailed back to you within 1 working day. Upon confirmation of payment we will dispatch your goods via a courier service.
You will not be required to make payment online upon check-out. Only once you have received a pro-forma invoice from The Tea Chest, will you be required to make an EFT into our bank account before the goods are dispatched.
All prices quoted on the website are in South African Rand and include VAT of 14%. Delivery charges are excluded from the price and will be communicated to you together with confirmation of your web order on the pro-forma invoice.
The Tea Chest reserves the right to modify the prices of products available on its site at any time, without prior notice.
Delivery Charges and Services
At The Tea Chest we strive to arrange delivery of your order in the quickest and most economical way possible. We review each order individually and factor in delivery address, weight and size of your order.
The exact shipping amount for your order will be calculated on your order confirmation. The Tea Chest uses Royale International and Postnet courier services. Each delivery has its own unique online tracking number that is communicated to you once the goods are dispatched.
The Tea Chest website is not an e-commerce site, so you will not be required to make a payment online upon check-out.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your order together with a pro-forma invoice detailing the products as well as delivery charges. Once payment is made via EFT into our bank account, we will arrange for dispatch of your goods within 2 working days.
All our prices online include VAT of 14%.
Online Product Availability
The Tea Chest makes every effort to keep a sufficient inventory of all the products offered on its website. However, the availability of these products changes daily and is not guaranteed.
We will confirm product availability together with your order confirmation via e-mail.
Refund and Exchange Policy
The Tea Chest inspects all products carefully before they get dispatched from our warehouse. However, in case your goods arrive damaged, defective or not as per your order, we will do our utmost to rectify the situation. We do not provide refunds, but will replace any such products.
Damaged and defective goods need to be returned to us within 14 days of delivery together with a proof of purchase. This can be done in person or by sending the product to The Tea Chest (Pty) Ltd, 72 Loop street, Cape Town, 8001. The Tea Chest will replace all such items and cover delivery costs of the new shipment as well as reimburse your return shipping costs if there are any.
In case of missing items from your order, the client must contact The Tea Chest immediately. We will replace the missing product and cover the delivery charges for the new shipment.
In case of wrong items delivered, the client must return them to The Tea Chest within 14 days either in person or by sending the product to The Tea Chest (Pty) Ltd, 72 Loop street, Cape Town, 8001. All the products must be in original condition and packaging and returned together with a proof of purchase. We will replace the incorrect items and cover the delivery charge of the new shipment as well as reimburse your return shipping costs if there are any.
